Baltimore Metros
The Baltimore Metros were a one-season wonder for the CBA in 1978-79. Well, barely even a season. They started the year prior as the Washington Metros, and moved to UMBC for the 78-79 season. The team go off to a decent enough start but halfway through the year they were out of money. As teams without money in the 1970s are wont to do, they picked up and moved mid-season to Utica, NY and became the Mohawk Valley Thunderbirds. They finished out the season in Utica with and went out of business. Another team, the Utica Olympics, joined the league for 1979-80 but failed after a year as well.
