Lancaster Red Roses
The Lancaster Red Roses are a historic basketball team from Pennsylvania that existed in various forms over the years. They were an original member of the EBA, finishing 20-10 in the league’s first season of 1946-47. That year, they would lose the inaugural championship to the Wilkes Barre Barons at Rockne Hall in Allentown. They would come and go from the EBA over the years, playing from 1946-49, 1953-55, 1975-78, and 1978-80, the last of which was when the EBA became the CBA.
