Grand Rapids Tackers
The Grand Rapids Tackers played in a few different semi-pro circuits during the 1960s and 70s against teams from Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois. They started in the Mid-West Pro Basketball League in 1962, winning the league title in their second season of 1963-64. That league changed to the North American Basketball League in 1964, where the Tackers would take the league in 1965 and 1968. After that league folded, the Tackers joined the CBA (not to be confused with the 80s/90s CBA this one was small and Midwest based). It’s unclear, but the Tackers seemed to have disbanded after 1973.
