New York Stars
The New York Stars played in the Women’s Professional Basketball League (WBL) for two seasons from 1978-80. They originally played at Iona in New Rochelle, but would move to MSG for their second season where they played a double header with the Knicks following their games. The Stars were most famous for featuring a pair of identical twin sisters, Kaye and Faye Young. The team would go 28-7 and win the league’s championship in 1981. However, the club shut down following the season.
