The Shreveport Storm has gone through many identities during their time in the Continental Basketball Association. Can you believe they went through five other team names and locations before landing in Louisiana in 1994 as the Shreveport Storm? They started as the Sarasota Stingers, Florida Stingers, then moved to West Virginia to become the Charleston Gunners, followed by the Columbus Horizon, and later the Shreveport Crawdads.
Even with their various changes in ownership and names, the Storm still never made the playoffs during their eleven seasons. After their last season in 1994-1995, the owner finally ended the franchise and folded the team in 1996.
