Cherry Hill Rookies
The Cherry Hill Rookies played two seasons in the Eastern Basketball Association (EBA) from 1973-75. They would be known as the Cherry Hill Pros for their second season, apparently upgrading from Rookie status. The team’s owner would call the team “the worst financial mistake I ever made in my life” later on. The team played at the Cherry Hill Arena, which was also home to a number of minor league hockey franchises over the years. The Rookies would finish fourth in the EBA’s eastern division in both of their seasons and fold after their second. The Arena would go on to host more hockey before being condemned in 1978.
